Description
CELLINK LAMININK 111 is designed for cells that require the laminin 111 isoform. Laminin is an extracellular matrix protein predominantly found in the basal lamina of many tissues. Laminin has a foundational cross-like structure. Laminin has three domains: alpha, beta and gamma. Fifteen laminin trimers exist; each combination has a different role and cellular compatibility. Laminin 111 has a chain conformation of alpha1beta1gamma1, and it plays a critical role in cell activity. Laminin 111 maintains the universal CELLINK bioink’s excellent printability and ease of crosslinking.
Application
CELLINK LAMININK 111 is a great starting point for culturing many cell types. The laminin 111 additive is similar to commercially available matrices derived from tumor extracts. Compared to other heterogenous matrices, the laminin’s xenographic source allows better control over the matrix environment. This bioink is suitable for specialized applications like culturing hepatocytes and intestinal stem cells for tissue models, as well as culturing dopamine and cancer cells for modeling Parkinson’s disease and cancer.
