A nozzle or needle insulator is recommended to more efficiently maintain the temperature of the nozzle or needle. This is necessary because this component of the bioink process must be outside the thermal block in order to print. The insulators are optimized to minimum disruption to the print area but also allow the bioprinting of temperature sensitive bioinks that may otherwise thermally gel within a nozzle or needle during the printing process.
